Jim Thompson House Museum

Jim Thompson House is ranked as one of the most loved attractions in Bangkok city and stands as a historical architecture model with distinct art collections. The house is situated beside a canal surrounded by a jungle landscape of palm and banana trees and numerous flowers and plants.

The tour of the house allows visitors to take a step back in time to see the art and life of Southeast Asia. Inside is a small but well-curated collection of objects, like temple wall hangings depicting Buddha's life, an elegant standing Buddha, repurposed mahjong tables in the dining room, and a fine display of porcelain. It is open every day from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm.

The last guided tour starts at 5.00 PM. Entrance fees are 200 baht and 100 baht respectively. ID is required. Children under 10 years old can enter free of charge if they're accompanied by an adult.

JIM THOMPSON-ART CENTER No reservations required. The Jim Thompson Art Center can be found in the same area as Jim Thompson House Museum. The Art Center hosts exhibitions and educational programs. It also publishes publications.
