The Thoon Kramom was ready and waiting to serve in Phra Chulachomklao Fort when Siam faced invasion by western nations.
It was converted to a warship to defend the Chao Phraya estuary. Before being retired, it was later assigned to the naval apprenticeship school. The Royal Thai Navy used the Thoon Kramom as a warship until it was decommissioned on March 21st, 1923. Museum.
